Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SudokuStreak (the "Service"), operated by Tamabaja, s.r.o., uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage), and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include your browser's local storage, which we use to keep your current game and preferences on your device. We group them into necessary (always on) and optional (only with your consent).
2. Necessary Cookies & Storage
These are required for the Service to work and do not need consent. They never track you across other websites.
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Cookie | Keeps you signed in and maintains your session. |
| CSRF token | Cookie | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. |
| REMEMBERME | Cookie | Keeps you signed in between visits if you choose "remember me". |
| sudokustreak_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choices. |
| sudokustreak_game | Local storage | Saves your in-progress puzzle so you can resume after a refresh. |
| sudokustreak_anon_id, ss_onboarded, ss_anon_profile | Local storage | Your anonymous profile (name, avatar) and Sparks, if you play without an account. |
3. Optional Cookies (consent required)
These load only after you accept them in the cookie banner. Until then they are blocked, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 5).
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics so we can improve the Service. IP addresses are anonymised, and before consent Google Analytics runs in a cookieless "consent mode" that sets no cookies. |
| Our advertising partner | Shows ads to non-Premium users. Without consent, only non-personalised ads are requested. |
4. Third-Party Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with a social provider (such as Google, GitHub or Facebook), that provider may set its own cookies as part of its login flow. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own cookie and privacy policies.
5. Managing Your Consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Necessary only". You can change your choice at any time — use the button below (also available as "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page) to re-open the banner and update your preferences. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings, though blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
6. Changes & Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. For any question, contact us at admin@sudokustreak.com.
